Design.us provides a platform for designers of all levels to meet other designers in their area. Our mission is to support design careers and the advancement of the design field at large.
Product Thinking:
What is the human problem being solved?
— Providing designers of all levels with a simple way to meet other designers in their area, expanding their social network.
How do you know it’s a real human problem?
— As human beings, we crave a sense of belonging, and that sense of belonging is what connects us to the many relationships we develop.
Why does the business care about this?
— By providing a platform for designers to engage with other designers in their area, we can help bridge the overall design profession at large.

Responsibilities + Impact:
Create a clear visual language that communicates the essence of the brand across the product ecosystem.
Test and evaluate my designs throughout the entire design cycle, continually polishing the end product.
Lead product design from conception through execution and define product strategy.

Personal Reflection
— Process is essential. As an individual contributor, it is important that I created a roadmap to navigate through what can otherwise be a route of uncertainty. This was especially useful when I was first starting out.
— It takes just one committed person to kick off an idea and change the way our world operates. Having taken full ownership of this project from start to finish, I've learned to appreciate my skills as a designer much more.
— Define a metric to test your own success. Setting up a framework helps in exploring solutions to problems and eventually leads to a more accurate outcome.
