Project Overview
SacHacks is the first major intercollegiate hackathon in the Sacramento, California area. Our passion is to cultivate the untapped potential of those in Sac by providing them with the opportunity to launch their ideas in a public venue. We provide the place, you bring your ideas, and we have a friendly competition between all creative coders to launch their ideas into action during a 24-hour hackathon.
Product Thinking:
What is the human problem being solved?
— Providing students in the Sacramento, California Area with a unified tech presence and equal opportunity.
How do you know it’s a real human problem?
— There has never been a major intercollegiate hackathon in the Sacramento region. Many students feel disconnected from the large tech presence in the Silicon Valley.
Why does the business care about this?
— By building the first major intercollegiate hackathon in the Sacramento, California area, we can make a difference in our own community.
